This blog was started as an outlet for some of my ideas.  I literally cannot get my head to stop thinking up ways to make money.  I realize that is a blessing and a curse.  You would think that with all these ideas I would be rich and retired to an island somewhere.  I’m not.  Like many people, I start something and then leave it. I am hooked on the idea generation.  It’s like a drug that I can’t shake.  The actual execution gets in the way of new idea generation and the cycle continues.

I realize that ideas are only good if someone takes them and breathes life into them.  I know that it takes hard work to be a success.  In spite of what you have read above, I actually do have several ideas I have worked and continue to work to this day.  They are the real bread and butter for me and the reason I live as comfortably as I do.  That being said, the ideas keep coming and I can’t stand to see them die on the vine.  So I am leaving them here on this site for someone like yourself to take up and adopt.

The name of this site was derived from a Thomas Edison quote that I love and that I find to be the secret to success.  Edison said:

“Opportunity is missed by most people because it comes dressed in overalls and looks like work.” 

Mr. Edison couldn’t be more accurate.  I find the more effort I put into something, the more I am able to take away from it.  It doesn’t matter if this is effort at work, with my family, working out, my golf game, etc.  You get the idea.  There is simply a direct correlation between effort and success.

One thing I want to point out, effort does not mean literally blood, sweat, and tears. While that is typically the approach most take, it is not always required.  Logic plays a strong role and putting in the effort mentally is every bit as important.

So with that said, this blog is intended to provide you with ideas for making money.  As with panning for gold, some of these ideas may need to be thrown out with the muddy water.  The key is to keep swirling and keep working with the muck until the gold nuggets twinkle in the pan.

Here’s to those of you who get it.  Here’s to those of you who will take these seeds, plant them, nuture them, and grow them into something great.  Search yourself inside.  You know nothing in this world comes easy.  You also know that anything worth having is worth working for.  So what’s it going to be?  Are you going to wait for success in pill form or are you going to go and take it?
